Who are you and what is your role in the Coventry University Group?
I’m Hannelie and an Assistant Professor within the Academic Development Team, part of the Office for Teaching and Learning. My most recent roles involve anything to do with supporting colleagues with their assessment and feedback practices and have a real mission focusing on supporting confident engagement with assessment that inspires.
Something else about yourself?
I am a keen walker, and enjoy meeting the neighbourhood’s vast number of dogs and their walkers. This way I don’t have to get my own… And lately I joined the Guides (like Brownies), just to get to know teenagers and what motivates them today.
Something you learnt during the pandemic or something you started (or stopped) doing that you would like to keep doing (or not doing)
The “lockdowns” made me realise how important it is to really connect with people. And missing my daughters’ presence, I used my spare time to make lots of little things with my sewing machine for them – as this my way of at least connecting with them.
