Who are you and what is your role in the Coventry University Group?
I’m a digital media producer at CU Online and I help to make online learning more engaging, story-driven and digestible. I make videos, diagrams/illustrations, podcasts – anything that will help students to succeed. I have a background in broadcast TV, working on Countryfile, Springwatch, Coast and Points of View to name a few, but I have also run business management and leadership training at Aston Business School and worked in the arts. My UG degree was in biology – a subject which I still love.
Something else about yourself?
I ride motorbikes for a hobby and am passionate – some would say boringly evangelical – about road safety. I’m also keen on equity of education – making sure that it is a level playingfield for everyone, regardless of gender, sex or disability.
Something you learnt during the pandemic or something you started (or stopped) doing that you would like to keep doing (or not doing)
I learned that I actually CAN bake bread. Before lockdown, it had been a long and painful career of making mostly inedible rocks.
