Who are you and what is your role in the Coventry University Group?

I’m Noah 👋 – I work at the Disruptive Media Learning Lab where we drive forward innovation in education. Specifically, I’m an Innovation and Community Producer with a focus on promoting digital fluency and creating better teaching and learning experiences for staff and students. 

At this year’s conference, I’ll be sharing some information on both Digital Badges as well as Coventry.Domains.  

Something else about yourself?

I’m originally from the US, and I haven’t lost my taste for corn dogs, monster trucks and over-the-top Hollywood explosions. At the same time, I’ve spent my adulthood in the UK and have got pretty big into tea, so this combo makes for interesting elevenses.

Something you learnt during the pandemic or something you started (or stopped) doing that you would like to keep doing (or not doing)

This pandemic has taught me just how resilient our staff and also many local community groups have become at rapidly gaining digital skills and participating in online community building. I’ve massively improved my ability to develop training materials for staff and students during this time, and this is something I’d like to carry on developing going forward.
